POLICIES AND FAQs

Please review the policies and frequently asked questions prior to your appointment. If you have any further questions, feel free to contact me directly!

  • Cancellations and No Shows
    Cancellations and reschedules made less than 24 hours prior to your appointment time are considered late cancellations and will result in a charge of 50% of your scheduled service. No-call no-shows will be charged 100% of your scheduled service. In the event that you are running late or need to reschedule/cancel an appointment, please call or text 703-357-3158 to notify us.
  • Late Policy
    There will be a 10 minute grace period. If you arrive more than 10 minutes past your scheduled appointment time, you will be asked to reschedule and charged 50% of the scheduled service. In the event that you are running late or need to reschedule/cancel an appointment, please call or text 703-357-3158 to notify us.
  • Additional Guests
    We kindly ask that you do not bring additional guests to your appointment unless they are scheduled to receive a treatment.
  • Returns and Exchanges
    All sales are final and cannot be exchanged or returned. In the event of a reaction to a purchased product, please email theglowyesthetician@gmail.com to discuss options with Alyssa. Products purchased through online website links are subject to the return policy of those websites as they are separate entities from The Glowy Skin Studio. Please contact the company directly for product returns and exchanges.
  • How to Prepare for Your Appointment
    1. Don't stress about choosing the right service! I'll take a look at your skin before we begin to ensure that the treatment you chose is best for you. If I believe that a different treatment will serve you and your skin better, I will always let you know! 2. Please fill out intake forms that are sent via email and text prior to your appointment. This will give me a general idea of your skin before we start treatments! 3. Bring in the skincare products (or a list of the products) that you are using at home so that we can safely treat your skin. Some products may contraindicate certain services so it's important to be thorough to avoid any irritation. 4. Discontinue use of AHAs (glycolic, lactic, mandelic, malic), BHAs (salicylic), retinoids (retinol, Retin-A, Differin, etc.), benzoyl peroxide, or any other exfoliants for 5-7 days prior to treatment. 5. Avoid facial waxing for 5-7 days prior to treatment. 6. Please wait at least 2 weeks for any facial treatments after receiving botox or filler.
